B Series Flywheel Lock Kit

The Honda K Series flywheel kit includes our custom designed ARP 2000 flywheel bolts that have safety wire provisions included. Instead of the common method of retaining the flywheel bolt in high horsepower applications by welding the bolt to the ring gear, you can now retain the bolt properly with safety wire. There's a reason safety wire is used in aerospace, when a bolt is mission critical and can not come loose, it needs to be safety wired. Safety wire is not included with this kit since it is not needed for every application. If you do want to use safety wire, we suggest starting with .045" stainless steel wire. You can find some HERE

Also included in this kit is our Flywheel Friction Lock. This provides another layer of safety. Our FFLs consist of a nickel-coated steel substrate with partially embedded diamond particles. When placed between the flywheel and crank, the diamonds “bite” into each surface. With an installed thickness of .006"-.009" an FFL will not significantly alter assembly spacing. FFLs are easy to assemble and can be reused after disassembly.
