New from Clutch Masters is our single disc high performance clutch and lightweight aluminum and steel flywheel kits for the 2014+ Mini Cooper, Cooper S, Countryman, Clubman, and John Cooper Works models using the 2.0L B48 and 1.5L B38 turbo engines.

1.5L Turbo:

Clutch Masters offers conversion kits that eliminate the undersized 228mm clutch and dual-mass flywheel. The conversion kits are offered as a complete clutch kit and can be paired with either a Clutch Masters lightweight aluminum flywheel or lightweight steel flywheel.

2.0L Turbo:

Clutch Masters offers a clutch kit that will work with the OE flywheel or one of Clutch Masters lightweight aluminum or steel flywheels specifically engineered for the Mini. Because of tight tolerances and the design of the OE Dual Mass Flywheel, only rigid discs are able to be used with the OE flywheel and may not be desirable for a street driven car. The Clutch Masters Aluminum Flywheel comes in at 14lbs and the steel flywheel weighs 25lbs.

The Clutch Masters single disc offerings include the FX100, FX250, FX300, FX350, and FX400 to suit a specific driving style and torque capacity needs. Utilizing the highest quality friction materials combined with Clutch Masters Hi-Leverage pressure plate technology they are able to significantly increase clamping force with no unnecessary increase in pedal pressure. Our kits will include a release bearing, clutch fork, alignment tool, and mounting hardware.

The FX100 utilizes a dampened steel back Organic lined disc. The FX100 is engineered for heavy-duty street use. It is specifically designed for extended wear and additional clamping force for the enthusiast who has added an exhaust or air intake system and tune. It features only slightly increased pedal pressure, longer life than stock clutch, and normal clutch feel during engagement and disengagement for a very smooth operation.

The FX250 utilizes a dampened steel back disc with a hybrid combination of friction materials including Formula Button on one side and a heavy-duty Organic friction lining on the other. This clutch is designed for the street enthusiast or weekend racer who plans to abuse their vehicle on an occasional basis and have a spirited driving style.

The FX300 utilizes a dampened steel back segmented kevlar friction lined disc. This clutch is designed for the ultimate street enthusiast running significantly more boost then factory, and/or has had head work done to the engine. The FX300 features only slightly increased pedal pressure, long life disc and positive engagement. The FX300 is only recommended for the street and not for the track. Minimum 500 Required break-in miles.

The FX350 has a higher holding capacity than a segmented Kevlar lining (FX300) without compromising the street friendly characteristic Clutch Masters is known for. Engineered for street use with a focus on being able to handle racing on the weekend, this clutch is perfect for the street enthusiast or weekend racer who plans to abuse their vehicle on an occasional basis and has a spirited driving style

The FX400 is available in two disc styles, an 8-puck full ceramic disc design or a segmented 6-puck disc. The full ceramic disc creates a quick and rapid engagement and maintains minimal chatter due to the marcel cushion between the disc linings, this disc is designed for street driven vehicles. The 6-puck ceramic paddle design creates a quick and rapid engagement as well as clutch chatter that may not be ideal for street driven vehicles and is meant solely for track cars.

The FX500 is designed with the race track in mind. This disc and the ceramic pucks are designed for outstanding holding capacity and rapid heat dissipation. The FX500 ceramic paddle design creates a quick and rapid engagement as well as clutch chatter and is not recommended for the street. The solid hub, or rigid disc, engages and disengages instantly. If you are building your MINI to compete on the race track and that is the sole purpose of the vehicle, then the FX500 is a great option.

With dampened and rigid clutch disc options as well as a lightweight aluminum and steel flywheel, we have a setup that will work for street and/or track driven cars.
